On Thursday night GYM and Rixa Promotions returned to Montreal Casino for the final instalment of their series dubbed “Boxing Series CHRONO AVIATION 2017-2018”. In the main event of the evening Alberta’s Albert ‘The Punisher’ Onolunose (23-1-1, 7 KOs) out-battled local Quebec middleweight star Francis ‘The People’s Champ’ Lafrenière (16-6-2, 9 KOs) over ten grueling rounds to earn a majority decision victory.

Onolunose started quickly with a stern jab and was largely the busier fighter throughout. Lafrenière is a warrior and battled every step of the way but the Alberta charge seemed to carry an edge in activity level and punches landed. After ten hard fought rounds were complete Onolunose was up on two cards 97-93 and 96-94 with the third tally even at 95-95.

In the co-main event, fast rising Cameroon born, Montreal based Christian Mbilli (8-0, 8 KOs) improved his perfect record and knockout streak with a second round KO of Jesus Gurrola. As seen in the above video courtesy of Pierre Lavoie at ringside, a blistering left hook to the body by Mbilli ended the fight early.

In preliminary action, Quebec based super middleweight Louisbert Altidor scored a telling fourth round TKO of Genaro Ortiz. A nice right hand ended this one as seen in Way Productions’ above video.

In other action, popular American super middleweight Dario Bredicean improved his unbeaten record to 16-0 (4 KOs) with a six round unanimous decision over Guillermo Romero.

Rounding out the card was Quebec light heavyweight Terry Osias who moved to 3-0 as a professional with a second round TKO of Jorge David Vargas.
