Eye of the Tiger Management may have saved the best for last with their jam-packed gala planned for the David Lemieux vs. Billy Joe Sanders card this coming Saturday in Quebec. As thing sit there are currently twelve bouts on the docket for fans lucky enough to be in attendance this weekend at Place Bell in Laval. While the intrigue of the Lemieux-Sanders main event is a selling point on it’s own, things will start to heat up when Quebec’s Yves Ulysee Jr. (14-1, 9 KOs) returns to the ring just six weeks after suffering his first pro defeat at the hands of Alberta’s Steve Claggett. The quick-handed slickster is set to face undefeated Cletus ‘Hebrew Hammer’ Seldin (21-0, 17 KOs) in a bout that will serve as the televised opening on HBO.
“It has always been my dream since I started boxing to perform on HBO, the world’s most prestigious television network,” Ulysse said. “I’m so happy to get the opportunity to do this at home, Dec. 16, and show the whole world what I’m capable of.”
In the televised co-main event, co-main event America’s Antoine ‘Action’ Douglas and Ireland’s Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan will face off for the WBO Intercontinental Middleweight title.
But there is no shortage of action before the HBO camera’s roll. Eye of the Tiger Management has gone all out stocking the card full of local Canadian talent with a plethora of big names on the undercard.
Other well known fighters set to see action include Custio Clayton, Batyrzhan Jukembayev, Steven Butler, Simon Kean, Mathieu Germain, Vincent Thibault and more!
