It’s late 2017 and suddenly the Canadian heavyweight division is a hot topic in boxing circles. With ‘The Monster’ Mladen Miljas recently stopping longtime Canadian champion Dillon Carman and Quebec’s Simon Kean having moved to 11-0 (10 KOs) in late October, it’s ‘The Boogeyman’s’ turn to roar Friday night in Edmonton. On Dec.8th KO Boxing Promotions will return to the beautiful Shaw Conference Centre in downtown Edmonton with their latest gala K.O. 81.
In the main event of the evening surging Canadian heavyweight destroyer Adam ‘The Boogeyman’ Braidwood (10-1, 9 KOs) will headline taking on Mexico’s Misael Sanchez… and Fight Fans can rest assured knowing Braidwood will look to put the ranks of Canadian big-men on notice. An impressive win could set the stage for a West vs. East showdown against the unbeaten Kean in 2018.
In an anticipated Alberta rematch, Edmonton based Quebecer Flavio Michel will look to make it 2-0 against the all action ‘Yard Dog’ Brian Samuel of Red Deer in a bout sure to produce fireworks.
Other popular western Canadian fighters set to see action are heavyweight Stan Surmacz Ahumada, super featherweight Eric Taylor, super welterweight Josh Wagner, super lightweight Robbi Cusine as well as several other exciting prospects.
