Rising Canadian welterweight charge Custio Clayton (12-0, 9 KOs) successfully captured the vacant IBF International and WBC Continental Americas welterweight titles Thursday night at Montreal Casino in the main event of a gala presented by Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) and GESTEV as part of the CHRONO AVIATION Boxing Series. Clayton pounded out a dominant shut-out ten round unanimous decision over a game but outgunned Johnny Navarrete (33-10-1, 15 KOs) where all three scores were 100-90.

In an exciting co-featured bout, ‘The Jamaican Juggernaut’ Shakeel Phinn (14-1, 9 KOs) went full steam ahead in blowing out Argentina’s Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas (33-15-1, 19 KOs) via second round TKO. It marks the third straight victory for Phinn in 2017 alone after he reeled off an impressive six wins in 2016.
Terrebonne, Quebec’s Marie Eve Dicaire picked up her eight consecutive win as a pro keeping her perfect record in tact with a shutout points win over Alejandra Ayala. The card also saw Bruno Bredicean and Patrice Volny pick up victories.
