‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley is attending Super Bowl week to promote his May 1 super fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and took the time to catch up with Yahoo Sports. See what he had to say as he prepares to defend his WBA welterweight title.

“It’s on for May 1. We’ve both signed. It’s a fight that should have happened a while ago and one the fans and the people want to see. This time Floyd isn’t fighting a lightweight or a junior welterweight… he’s fighting a real welterweight!”

“In my mind I wouldn’t say I’m the underdog. I’m going to take it to him I’m going to do what I’ve got to do. Mentally as fighters both Floyd and I know who’s who and what’s what. He’s not fighting the same fighters he has been coming up who’ve never seen it before. I have a lot of confidence and have been in this game a long time. I believe in myself and know I’m the best fighter out there.”

“I was in training getting ready for the Berto fight Jan. 30 but it didn’t happen because of the tragedy in Haiti. I sent my condolences to Andre and his family and then looked to move on.”

“Floyd is a very difficult fight. He’s a talented fighter. Even though the Berto fight was lined up, Floyd was really the fight I wanted so I’m excited that it worked out.”

Lets hope it will be a tough fight. We want to see a brawl. No running. Last man standing. With the style of Mayweather, first 6 rounds will not be interesting because Mosley will be chasing and hitting the air.

I saw this DVD with the fight of Pacquiao-Clottey and Mayweather-Mosley. Pacquiao stop Clottey in 9th round it was a bloody fight! Mosley defeated Mayweather by decision! Mayweather was being count for knock-out in 4th. Mayweather had a hard night against Mosley. In the interview, Mayweather said that “Mosley is already training for 3 months in preparing for Berto’s fight plus another 3 months preparing for this fight and i only have 2 months of training. He came here fighting me over well prepared. If we have a this deal before, this would never happened.” Is there any rematch? “Yes, Definitely, there is a rematch” Said Mayweather.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather is still the best match up lots of fan are waiting for. But I’d like Mosley to whup Floyd’s ass in a manner clipping his tongue a little bit so he would only have his talent to showcase and stop bragging about what he think he is.

I hope both fighters will give their best for the fans! and most especially, both fighters will submit to real random-blood testing.

Mayweather definitely has the upperhand being the younger fighter. But Mosley is the hungrier fighter!

The winner must face the winner of Pacquiao vs. Clottey!

I like the confidence in Mosley. I believe Mosley is the only fighter at present time that could be giving Mayweather big time trouble.

I am leaning towards Mosley although it won’t be an easy fight.

I can’t believe how many FIGHT FANS tend to hate on Floyd, you guys have to respect him as a fighter.

Mayweather is a gifted fighter whom not only has the skills but the intelligence which is why he’s so hard to beat.

This fight should be a competitive fight, I can’t wait! May the best man win.

Finally, we’ll see what Floyd Mayweather is made of. If he beats Mosley, he’ll probably grab P4P#1 from Manny Pacquiao. If he loses, then that will confirm that he’s been ducking the best in the welterweight division to keep his fight record clean.

I just hope that when the blood testing comes it would be in full transparency. It should indicate the day and time that it was done. Likewise the results should be released as soon as available. This way we can see if the test is real or a sham and really vent on catching the real juicers. This should be as often as possible as USDA Tygart mentioned that the test window should be the least possible. Should include Xylocaine as well as it is a real deal PEDS as well. Credibility of the testing not only of the boxers should be proven as well.
