Types of performance-enhancing drugs

5. Diuretics expel water from athletes’ bodies. They are often used by athletes such as wrestlers, who need to meet weight restrictions. Many stimulants also have a secondary diuretic effect.

6. Masking drugs are used to prevent the detection of other classes of drugs. These evolve as quickly as do testing methods – which is very quickly indeed[1] – although a time-tested classic example is the use of epitestosterone, a drug with no performance-enhancing effects, to restore the testosterone/epitestosterone ratio (a common criterion in steroid testing) to normal levels after anabolic steroid supplementation.

Everything u mentioned is a mental effect..if I say gatorade is going to make me stronger and faster I might actually feel stronger because I just believe it, not because gatorade does that. PHDs on the other do give you that edge which is why they are illegal, and xylocaine is not illegal according to the World Anti Doping Agency

I am the only one here actually excited that this fight is happening? A lot of people seem to say he only took this fight because he had to. He didn’t have to. He could have easily fought someone else. No matter what he does the hates are still going to do what they do best, hate. Don’t you guys see that by taking this fight Floyd’s next to fight he could lose to a mosley or a pacquiao. Pacquiao is picking fights he could very easily win and if they this fight didn’t happen he would just have kept fighting those flat-footed boxers who just stand there taking punches. But now by this floyd-shane fight actually happening pacquiao will have to take the winner of this fight no matter what. Think about it. Do we really want to see the top 3 fighters in the world (which happen to be in the same division which rarely happens)fighting other fighters who have almost no chance of beating them. No we want to see them fighting each other so credit to floyd for taking this fight and setting up other big fights later on in the year. Whether it be a pacquiao-mosley or pacquiao-mayweather but in the end any boxing fan would agree these are the fights we want to see

Mayweather fans are loyal. 40 years ago, i wonder if boxing fans hated Muhammad Ali? it took him gettin his face beat in and falling victim to a serious disease for people to respect him.
