By Joe Bruiser (06-Dec-2009)
Courtesy of Goossen Tutor, check out what Paul ‘The Punisher’ Williams had to say after his epic battle with Sergio Martinez last night in Atlantic City. Paul talks about taking the fight on short notice, giving the fans a good fight and more.
Williams won a close decision over Sergio Martinez in what was a good candidate for fight of the year.
Paul William’s post-fight comments
Paul ‘The Punisher’ Williams took a little while to find his groove against a very game Sergio Martinez in a tough battle between the two best jr. middleweights in the world. In a wild first round, Williams scored a flash knockdown against and off balance Martinez before getting dropped hard himself just before the bell. Martinez seemed to win the first 3 rounds and frustrated Williams with his handspeed and movement. Rounds 4 through 6 belonged to Williams who started to find the mark more often. Both fighters seemed to trade rounds down the stretch in what turned into an absolute brawl being contested at avery high skill level. Williams was bleeding, but seemed to be the fresher of the two at the end of the hard fought bout. Scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 119-109 for Paul Williams. The 119-109 card was completely out to lunch, but the other two seemed accurate. FightFan.com had it 115-113 for Williams.

PAC IS A GOOD FIGHTER BUT HE IS NOT AMONG BOXING THE BEST, HE IS NOT A FRAZIER, A SUGAR RAY ROBINSON, A JACK JOHNSON, A JOE LOUIS AND HE DEFINITELY NOT AN ALI. LET’S ELIMINATE ALL THE DOUBT- PUT HIM IN FRONT OF A OLDMAN-MOSLEY, TAKE A BLOOD TEST-A FEW DROPS WILL DO-FACE MAYWEATHER- OR IF ANND ONLY IF HIS BURIAL IS PAID IN FULL- CONSIDER THE UNDERTAKER-PUAL WILLIAMS- I LIKE PAC BUT BE REAL-THE REAL MCCOY.
