After their exciting fight earlier this year ended prematurely due to a cut, Ivan Calderon and Rodel Mayol will rematch Sept. 12 in Puerto Rico. Román ‘Rocky’ Martínez will appear on the undercard!

World Champions Iván ‘Iron Boy’ Calderón and Román ‘Rocky’ Martínez will defend their titles next September 12 in Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in a presentation of PR Best Boxing Promotions. “There will be a great card in September 12 with Calderon and Martinez will defend their titles in their country with the fans of Puerto Rico, it’s great for them”, said promoter Ivan Rivera, presidente of PR Best Boxing Promotions.
WBO junior flyweight champion, Calderon (36-0-1, 6ko’s) will face philipine Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19ko’s) in a rematch of the June 13th fight, that ended in a technical draw because of a accidental headbutt that caused a hurto n Calderon’s head.
While, Martinez (22-0-1, 13 ko’s) will defend his WBO junior lightweight title against mexica Michael Lozada (35-5-1, 24 ko’s). Martinez won his title on March 13 when he knocked out britain Nicky Cook.

Mayol will take the title this time even though the venue is in puerto rico. mayol cant be deny of his superior talent over calderon. all puerto rican fight fans put your puerto rican perspective aside and just watch the 1st fight as just neutral fight fans and you will realize that mayol should have won that fight. however no worries calderon will get a whoopin again and this time he will loose that belt.
