Lucian Bute to rematch Librado Andrade!

It looks as though IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute of Canada will rematch the durable and tenacious Librado Andrade this fall. Golden Boy Promotions has won the purse bid and is likely to announce the fight within the next ten days. Rumors are circulating that would place the fight as a preliminary bout to Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s September 19 return bout against Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas. It looks as though the fight will not take place in Montreal, but Bute is anxious to rematch Andrade, who he was comfortably beating on points in their first encounter before surviving a late scare at the end of Round 12. “I’m disappointed not to fight in Montreal, but I’m ready to fight anyone, anywhere,” Bute told the media this week after the purse bid results were announced. “The important thing is that I get to fight Andrade again.”
