Undisputed Cruiserweight champion turned heavyweight David Haye is seen here in this recent photograph tipping the scales at 233 pounds. Haye’s next fight is scheduled for Nov. 15 in England and is said to be against a top ten heavyweight. Haye has been adamantly calling out heavyweight champion Wlad Klitschko and hopes to secure a 2009 title fight.

“Haye (233 lbs) is also substantially heavier than Corrie Sanders (225 lbs) in addition to previous Klitschko opponents Sultan Ibragimov (219 lbs), Lamon Brewster (228 lbs), Calvin Brock (224 lbs) and Chris Byrd (213 lbs).”FYI.

Large muscles do not make for great boxers. It’s the loose wirey muscles boxers need. Haye is doing a great job of marketing himself, however. And he will get a shot. I think Klitchko handily beats him, though

$Lifestyleflashy$ you took the words right out of my mouth, that’s exactly what I was about to ask!
I really hope W.Klitschko and David Haye make it happen!
I would love to see both of them square off!

I sure hope this fight takes place sometime this year, how much longer does Haye have to wait?
It’s a matter of time before W.Klitschko has to give Haye a chance!
If not this fight then I would love to see W.Klitschko versus Chris Arreloa next! Something tells me Arreloa is going to make alot of noise in the heavyweight division.

ppl question hayes chin.but they dont realise klitshkos is alot worse. and haye hits really really hard most ppl dont realise how hard he hits and his hands are as fast as a welterweights he will ko klitshko in 3 rounds or less it wont take him long 2 land a hard hook oe right hand as klitshkos defence is shockig especially when he fights on the inside.

Ivan "LatinoPorVida" Montiel Says:
Matt interesting point you made there because Lamon Brewster and Corrie Sanders already proved to the world how weak of a chin W.Klitschko got.
Now we got to see how David Haye reacts once he gets tagged by some heavyweights cause it ain’t cruiserweights anymore.

ye thats true. but what ive noticed watching his fights is that its been the short crisp punches that he didnt see coming that have knocked him down. ive seen haye get hit with some really big shots that havnt hurt him because he saw them coming. plus these big heavyweights are very slow and haye will be able to block and dodge most of the shots.

I agree with you Matt I do think Haye will put Klitschko away, I really like The Hayemaker he has got the whole package to be a World Champ. Klitschko is boring to watch boring to listen too the Heavyweight division needs a hungry young strong champion aka David Haye.

thats definately true. klitshko is very boring and a very bad boxer it just shows how low the level of competition is in the HW division that klitshko can keep winning these guys. haye will rule the HW division for as long as he wants until he retires. and he also looks even better physically as a HW then as a cruiser he will probobly be even more powerful.

LeftJab Says:
Well,as noted before, muscles do not make the punch..it is the speed, technique and natural punching power(which Haye has)that make a puncher. I think Haye looks great but I dont think he needs to get any bulkier than he is now. Sure,he needs a few pounds to deal with the clinching and leaning that Wlad seems to do a lot of these days. I think it will be an interesting fight. We know Wlad has a glass jaw but Steward has taught him to use his jab and clinch when anyone gets inside of that jab. So he covers his weak jaw fairly well these days. Haye has been rocked and was stopped by Carl Thompson back in 04. He was floored twice by Thompson and later Mormeck also floored Haye before Haye rallied to stop him. I think Haye may have a better chin than Wlad but I guess we will see how he takes a punch from a hard punching heavy. I think that some of the cruisers hit as well as the heavies and if I had to bet..I would think that Haye could use his speed and power to get Wlad out of there. However,it may simply come down to who lands the first big shot. I just know that I will be cheering for Haye. I am sick of Wlad and his pawing and clinching. Peace fellas.

im with you there man i cant wait 4 david haye to punish these heavyweights. speakin of dat who yall think haye will fight 1st? personally i would love to see him in the ring with james toney. what you guys think?

Ivan "LatinoPorVida" Montiel Says:
Matt as much as I respect Toney, I honestly feel Haye would be too quick and strong for him.
I would have loved to see Haye versus Cunningham but that fight of course will no longer happen since Haye is now a heavyweight.
What about Haye versus Arreola? Ever since I’ve began to watch Chris fight something tells this guy is going to make alot of noise in the heavyweight division. The man can take a punch and give a punch! I would love to see Arreola not just against Haye but also against W.Klitschko!

matt Says:
ye maybe arreola but i think toney would last longer in the ring with haye than arreola because i know toney isnt as fast as he once was but he is still very skilful at slipping shots and holding at the right times very similiar 2 bernard hopkins. wheras i think arreola will try to stand toe 2 toe with haye lyk macranelli did and we all know what happened 2 him. I can see your point about haye fighting arreola as it would be exciting. but i think haye will have a tougher challenge against a veteran like james toney.

Im going to stick my neck on the line and say Chageav, two totally different styles be a good 2nd fight in the Heavies (Bonin. . . .well wasnt really a fight Haye KO`D him in the first round) Haye dosent like the small compact fighters so I think it would be a good test for him.Or falling that a warm up fight against British Champ Matt Skelton who went the distance with Chageav and I dont think that he has been KO`D before?

nar matt skleton is a terrible fighter these days. im british so ive seen alot of him. he is way 2 slow and fat now and haye would knock him out easily but i agree with you that chageav would be a decent test 4 haye.
