  3. bacuzi Says:

definitely a nominee for FOTY! There are more fights to come. Damn! And it even gets me more excited! I really love boxing!

  4. LeftJab Says:

Wow,great fight. I thought Cotto would be the one to wear down Margarito but it was the other way around. I thought Cotto fought beautifully the first 6 rounds but Margarito is just amazing the stamina and chin. He made a believer out of me,not that I didnt know he was tough but to take the amount of shots that he took from a guy like Cotto and keep coming..man! I dont know if Cotto can fight any better, the one thing that I thought was missing from the Cotto attack..was the body work..Cottos bread and butter, where was it? He seemed to be head hunting and a guy with a chin like Tony..not a good strategy. Great fight props to both fighters and their fans! This sure makes Paul Williams look a lot better. Maybe a Williams/Margarito 2? Take care all. Good job Fightfan had the fight scored about the same as you did..think I had Cotto with one more round than you scored. Peace.

  5. Tony Tarugo Says:

Exactly like the Freitas – Coralles fight!! The small man boxing, the big man stalking – the small man running out of gas, being knocked out.

  6. Ivan "LatinoPorVida" Montiel Says:

Ace that was good scoring, some tough rounds to score.

I scored it rounds 1,3,4,5,6 and 10 for Cotto. Margarito took the 2nd round although it was a close round, rounds 7,8,9 and 11 of course were awared to the Mexican.

Great fight! A candidate for Fight of The Year! Respect to both Cotto/Margarito for making this fight happen! Loved every moment of it! Hope Cotto is o.k

  7. adrian jose Says:

nothin beats a well-prepared, well-conditioned athlete with great stamina and an intrepid fighting heart. margarito has a granite chin and a relentless determination to be the first boxer to defeat cotto. cotto was at his usual best but it just wasn’t enough to put away margarito’s desire to demolish any boxer who stands in his way. another great match!

  8. HECTOR JIMENEZ Says:

    MMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRIIITTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOO

  12. nap caballero Says:

Oh yeah, What a good fight, and sure a candidate for FOTY. A good lesson to learn for fighters like COTTO, AJ BANAL, and the rest of boxer over there. It is true the head is smaller than body, if you can’t hit the head hit the body, simple.., and it works.
Margarito had a chin of steel, and Cotto’s power is not enough to break that chin, How about if Margarito being hit with a power punch of Paquaio, what do you think the outcome. We all don’t know, how about a match between Margarito and Pacquiao, it looks like a Tom and Jerry comics series. Let them finish the business of De La Hoya V Paquiao, then the Margarito V Paqiuao, and we know how strong Margarito chin..

  13. Bryson Bell Says:

cotto won the first 4 rounds that is it

  14. Jaxier Says:

UPSET OF THE YEAR! It cannot be afight of the year, in the sense Margarito answered on Cotto’s flurry. Cotto is the best Welterweight to date. Cotto will revenge, he is still the Pueto Rican KILLER!
